Jeremy Ward
As a player of bass instruments, Jeremy David Ward specializes in playing well with others. Whether bass violin in the Newberry Consort, to crafting innovative arrangements with recorders/bass duo Fire & Ground, to holding down a one-man rhythm, bass, and harmony section in his duo with award-winning 18th-century Scottish fiddler Tim Macdonald, Jeremy delights in crafting foundations on which an ensemble can thrive.
He was a founder of the Chicago folk music showcase The Midwest Sing and Stomp. He propagated his love of early music to students as Guest Lecturer in Early Music at Wheaton Conservatory of Music and during a weekend residency at Oberlin Conservatory of Music.
