Victoria Marshall

Victoria Marshall is a mezzo-soprano, conductor, and educator, currently pursuing the Doctor of Musical Arts degree in choral conducting at Northwestern University, where she studies with Dr. Andrew Megill. She serves as Director of Music at Winnetka Congregational Church on Chicago’s North Shore. At Northwestern, she teaches the sophomore-level aural skills sequence and previously conducted Northwestern Camerata, the university’s all-treble ensemble. She also teaches choral methods at North Park University in Chicago and, in 2025, served as Assistant Choir Director of the Carmel Bach Festival. Victoria is passionate about creating space for folks of all backgrounds to receive good vocal education, to have the opportunity to use their voices to tell their own stories, and to be in musical community together.

Victoria has performed professionally as both an operatic and choral singer across the U.S. and Canada. Her operatic roles include Idamante (Idomeneo), Olga (Eugene Onegin), Bianca (The Rape of Lucretia), Dritte Magd (Elektra), and Madame de la Haltière (Cendrillon). In Chicago, she sings with the Grant Park Music Festival Chorus, Music of the Baroque Chorus, Newberry Consort, Stare at the Sun, and the William Ferris Chorale. She is also a member of The Crossing (Philadelphia), Roots in the Sky (Bozeman, MT), and the Carmel Bach Festival Chorus (Carmel-by-the-Sea, CA). In Canada, she has collaborated with the Canadian Opera Company Chorus, Tafelmusik Baroque Orchestra and Chamber Choir, the Elora Singers, the Elmer Iseler Singers, and the Theatre of Early Music.
