Ian Prichard
As a choral artist, bass Ian Prichard has appeared with the Santa Fe Desert Chorale, Chicago Symphony Orchestra, Grant Park Music Festival, Lyric Opera of Chicago, Music of the Baroque, Bella Voce, William Ferris Chorale, Constellation Men’s Ensemble, the Oriana Singers, and His Majesty’s Men, enjoying a full and diverse performance and recording schedule in Chicago’s mainstay music ensembles. Ian holds degrees and certificates in Performance and Music Education from Roosevelt University and University of South Carolina, graduating magna cum laude.
At home across numerous styles, Ian has performed roles from Seneca in Monteverdi’s L’incoronazione di Poppea to Sarastro in Mozart’s Die Zauberflote, championed new choral music through Constellation Men’s Ensemble, performed as part of a small ensemble in Verdi’s Un Ballo in Maschera and Beethoven’s Elegischer Gesang at Symphony Center, toured choral masterworks such as Bach’s Mass in B Minor in Spain and Germany, and performed with University of South Carolina’s jazz ensemble: Carolina Alive.
His upcoming engagements include Verdi’s Requiem under Riccardo Muti, the Grant Park Music Festival summer season, ensemble with Lyric Opera of Chicago in the autumn, and a return to Santa Fe Desert Chorale for their Winter Festival before joining The Newberry Consort in March 2026.
